Este programa, único en España, ha sido diseñado por un equipo de especialistas que incluye médicos, nutricionistas, entrenadores y psicólogos. Su objetivo es contribuir a paliar los efectos de la obesidad en los menores –y en la sociedad- y ofrecerles una alternativa de futuro mas saludable. Que los niños aprendan y adquieran habitación de alimentación y de vida saludables.

El programa se desarrolla en colabaoracion con Naturhouse, un complejo de salud y dietética especialmente pensado para aquellas personas que buscan el bienestar del cuerpo y la mente. Dispone de un espacio de 40000 m²con un hotel cinco estrellas y las instalaciones y tratamientos más avanzados para la reducción de peso, anti estrés, anti –aging, anti-tabaco y détox; cada programa está diseñado y supervisado por equipos médicos, nutricionistas y deportivos experimentados.

Para su programa de Obesidad Infantil, Las Dunas Hotel Health & Spa dispone de 50 Suites para alojar a los niños en tratamiento y a sus padres con todas las comodidades. Además de un  extenso jardín con piscina  y acceso directo a la playa.

Se trata de un método integral, con una duración mínima de 7 días, dirigido a menores de 10 a 17 años y sus familias, que se basa en puntos clave como el ejercicio, la diversión y una alimentación saludable y equilibrada, esto es, en enseñar a los niños a comer bien sin limitar las comidas. Y, por otro lado, tiene especialmente en cuneta el aspecto psicológico, ya que los niños con sobrepeso suelen sufrir problemas de autoestima.

Esta experiencia está dirigida a familias que entienden la importancia de un estilo de vida saludable para una vida mejor. La pautas nutricionales y de dieta del programa Fit & Fun son las ajustadas a la edad de niños y adolescentes; no se trata de una simple reducción de calorías, pues están en etapa de crecimiento. Estas pautas están basadas en la “Estrategia NAOS” que puso en marcha el Ministerio de Sanidad español para sensibilizar a la población acerca de este problema y para impulsar los hábitos de vida saludables especialmente entre jóvenes y adolescentes.

Alimentación en la infancia

La necesidades de la población infantil están condicionadas por el crecimientos del cuerpo y el desarrollo de los huesos, dientes, músculos, etc., así como por el ejercicio físico que realicen.

Sus necesidades energéticas proteicas son elevadas. La IR o Ingesta Recomendada de nutrientes son las normas básicas que se siguen para establecer raciones de alimentos adecuadas que aseguren el aporte necesario para el óptimo crecimiento y desarrollo físico y psicológico.

ENERGIA Y PROTEINAS

A partir de los 2 años de edad, el porcentaje de energía procedente de proteínas, hidratos de carbono y grasas se aproxima a las del adulto

• 55 – 60% hidratos de carbono
• 30 – 35% grasas

La ingesta de proteínas debe suponer un 10 – 13% de la ingesta total ingerida. Se representa como gramos de proteínas por kilogramos de peso al día.

HIDRATOS DE CARBONO

Los hidratos de carbono deben constituir el aporte calórico mayoritario de la dieta, representando alrededor del 55% de la energía total ingerida. Especialmente cereales (pasta, arroz, maíz), legumbres, pan o patata, verduras y fruta.

GRASA

A partir de los 2 años de edad, el aporte graso oscila entre el 30 y el 35% de la energía aportada por la dieta uy los ácidos grasos se distribuyen de la siguiente manera:

• 7 – 8% de la energía procedente de ácidos grasos saturados (natas, mantequillas, carnes rojas, tocino, etc.).
• 15 – 20% de ácidos grasos mono insaturado, procedente principalmente en forma de aceite de oliva.

Alimentación en la adolescencia

Durante la adolescencia, dado que la mayor parte de los cambios que se producen son fisiológicos (maduración sexual, aumento del peso. Aumento de la talla, etc.), los requerimientos nutricionales son muy elevados, por lo que es necesario un adecuado control de la alimentación e imprescindible asegurar el aporte suficiente, para no caer en déficit ni en carencias que puedan ser origen de alteraciones y trastornos de la salud.

PROTEINAS

Los requerimientos proteicos se justifican por el elevado nivel de crecimiento de los tejido (aumentos de masa muscular, aumento de masa ósea) que en esta etapa supone una parte importante del gasto.

HIDRATOS DE CARBONO

En cuanto a las recomendaciones en cantidad y calidad son las mismas que para un adulto sano. Deben constituir el aporte calórico mayoritario de la dieta, alrededor del 55% de la energía total ingerida. Los azucares simples no constituirán más del 10% del total, siendo el aporte mayoritario por parte de azucares complejos, como cereales (pasta, arroz, maíz), legumbres, pan o patata; uy de fibra, que se encuentra en cereales integrales, legumbres, verduras y frutas

GRASAS

Las grasa deben representar el 30% – 35% de la energía total aportada por la dieta, de las cuales se recomienda no sobrepasar el 7 – 8% en forma de grasa saturada, procedente de natas, mantequilla, carnes rojas, tocino, etc.
