If you’ve booked a spa break at Las Dunas Grand Luxury Hotel, you will most likely be eager to chase the sun, sea and sand, and keen to taste the region’s delicious cuisine. The Costa del Sol, spanning around 150 kilometres of coastline, is awash with restaurants, cafes, tapas bars and beach clubs, each offering their own personal brand of Mediterranean hospitality and style of cooking.

Rather than feel over-faced with the bewilderingly wide choice of venues, the plan is to focus on one area, and take your time exploring at your leisure.  Las Dunas Grand Luxury Hotel is located on the western flank of the Costa del Sol, making it the perfect place for you to start.

There is no need to worry about limiting yourself to too few venues, as Estepona has a wide selection of superb restaurants, beach clubs and bars, providing everything from fine dining to more rustic Spanish dishes and tasty tapas.

To help you get the most out of your holiday to one of the most prestigious Estepona spa hotels, our team has compiled a list of our favourite beachside restaurants and beach clubs located in Estepona: Sublim, Tikitano by Besaya, Eva Beach, Malva Beach and Sonora Beach, each offering their own unique twist.

Sublim Beach Club (Laguna Village)

Out of the destruction of 2020 fire that destroyed Laguna Village, Sublim Beach Club has risen like a phoenix out of the ashes, instantly attracting a loyal clientele.  The undulating roof and dramatic entrance draw your eye directly to the Mediterranean Sea, setting the scene for a fantastic experience. The design has a laid-back indoor-outdoor vibe with tastefully muted sunbeds and loungers, around a large infinity pool.

The menu features a mix of modern Mediterranean influences, enjoy cocktails by the pool and live DJs supply the sound track for Ibiza-esque experience. Services including showers, changing room, lockers, towels and there is a pop up Ecoalf boutique at the entrance.  EV parking is also available.

Tikitano by Besaya

Apart of the Besaya Group, Tikitano is one of the most iconic restaurants in Estepona, instantly recognisable not only for its superb beachside location, but its Polynesian style architecture. It is one of the most beautiful restaurants on the Costa del Sol, which also enjoys some of the most impressive views across the Strait of Gibraltar.

No detail seems to have been overlooked, everything has been designed to create an inviting atmosphere, where guests can unwind or celebrate a special occasion, whilst enjoying a long cold drink and great food in lovely surroundings. The al-fresco terrace is where you can really appreciate the beauty of the surroundings and the Mediterranean views.

The Mediterranean menu is exciting and varied, offering a delight for all of your senses, offering traditional cuisine but with a lighter more delicate feel, with as much focus placed on visual presentation, as the taste, aroma and texture.

EVA Estepona (Eva Beach Club)

Eva Beach Club is the latest addition to our list, as it opened at the end of August 2025, at the end of the summer season. It has a great location overlooking the sandy beach in the bay of Playa del Cristo, with superb views across to Morocco and Gibraltar.  Designed to deliver an ‘Andalusian Sanctuary’, combining elegant styling and charm, with superb swimming pool that will no doubt feature on many Instagram posts.

The restaurant is inspired by Greek cuisine and the laid-back Mediterranean lifestyle, offering a range of delicious simple dishes, including Watermelon and Feta salad, Tzatziki, Banaganush and Moussaka with artichoke.  DJs provide the perfect beachy playlists that bring the atmosphere to life.

Malva Beach

This modern beach bar part of the Besaya Group, Malva Beach ideally located on the Palm Beach site just outside Estepona town centre, the atmosphere is relaxed and laid back, due to the natural textures and quiet luxury feel, including a solid wood staircase at the entrance.  The design features punching strong natural elements like the sturdy tables, deep cushioned chairs, loungers and umbrellas.

The food is high-quality, as you would expect from the Besaya Group, with a strong focus on seafood and fish, including sharing platters, raw and natural, lobster, oysters, caviar with blinis and much more. For those who prefer more rustic fayre, there are also grilled sardines and much more.

Sonora Beach

If you are fancy hanging out in colourful surrounding, including Balinese style parasols coloured floorboards, textiles and plants, set against beachfront backdrop, this bohemian beach club, Sonora Beach, should be right up your street.  Run by Laura and Javi, they have created a laid-back space where they would like to hang out, completely unpretentious, where you can dance barefoot to beachy tunes… a million miles away from the champagne spraying parties of some more glitzy establishments.  There is a great menu offering a contemporary twist to Mediterranean favourites, accompanied by carefully crafted cocktails, the perfect ingredient for a good time.

If you are planning on treating yourself to a holiday in a luxury Estepona hotel and spa resort, and would like to experience beachside living at its best, these five chiringuitos and beach clubs are all within easy reach of Las Dunas Grand Luxury Hotel.
